Where to Travel for a Destination New Year’s Eve

It might be last minute, but you still *technically* have some time to book a quick getaway for New Years! If you’re like me, you usually fully intend to have the best plans on NYE, but ultimately leave the planning to the last minute and end up watching New Year’s Rockin’ Eve from your couch. But since it’s the end of a decade, I feel like this is the year to go all out!

Here are my favorite destinations to ring in the New Year that are an easy trip depending on where you live!

1. Aspen

If you’re West Coast-based, Aspen is the perfect getaway for New Years. It’s cozy, quaint and wellness-focused, but they sure know how to throw a party. Stay at Hotel Jerome or The St. Regis!

2. Miami

East Coasters have an easy flight to this warm weather NYE destination that also doubles as a tropical vacation. With no shortage of things to do or clubs to dance at, Miami is the perfect choice for someone wanting to really bring the house down this December 31st. Not into the party scene? Miami is famous for their spas if you’re looking for more relaxation. Stay at the Miami Beach EDITION or the Faena!

3. St. Barths

With outposts of 1 Oak, Nikki Beach, Bagatelle, and other famous clubs, St. Barth is the St. Tropez of the Caribbean. This little French gem is famous for its shopping and ultra-relaxed vibe. If you’re going, get your travel plans on the books ASAP, because this tiny island fills up fast. Stay at Le Barthélemy, Cheval Blanc, or one of the island’s many villas. Already booked?
